North American Cherry lumber (Prunus serotina) (more info) has a light red to dark red heartwood and a creamy yellow sap wood. The color of Cherry lumber becomes darker with exposure to light and it shows gold and reddish highlights. The wood is fairly dense with a fine even grain. |
